The Street Seen: Ocean Park Portraits
2612 Main Street @ Ocean Park (California Heritage Museum)
Ocean Park Portraits, a photography exhibition by Marco Pallotti, has opened at the California Heritage Museum on corner of Ocean Park and Main.
Most of the approximately 40 people photographed are from businesses in the area around Main Street known as Dogtown which was the center of a skateboarding culture that grew and flourished in the 70's and 80's. There are also a few photographs of people including artists, musicians, and a dog walker who don’t have businesses on Main St.
Ocean Park Portraits was delayed from a planned 2020 opening due to COVID-19 concerns that closed the California Heritage Museum to visitors in early March 2020. Photographed from 2016 - 2019, some of the people and businesses are no longer around.
Ocean Park Portraits is open Wed through Sun 11 – 4. General Admission: $10.00 Seniors & Students: $5.00
