The Street Seen: Demolition Begins at Lincoln & Ashland

2903 – 2931 Lincoln Blvd @ Ashland (Sunset Park)

The CIM 4-story mixed use project on the east (Sunset Park) side of Lincoln between Ashland and Wilson Place got building permits last week and this week demolition of existing buildings on the site has begun.

The new four-story (36 feet high) 59,000 SF mixed-use project consists of 47 market rate residential units, 17,000 SF of ground floor commercial space, and 151 automobile parking spaces within a two-level subterranean parking garage.

The site consists of 6 Los Angeles County Assessor parcels. Like most of Lincoln south of the Freeway, the site is is Santa Monica zoned General Commercial (GC Lincoln & Pico).

The development – which replaces an auto shop. plumbing supply store, and vacant land – has been in the works since 2016, slowed by an unsuccessful appeal by nearby residents who worry the project will add to congestion in the neighborhood.
